Contact Form
If you fill out a contact form on this website, we use the name, email address, and any other personal identifying information indicated within that form to get in contact with you as necessary. This information is not otherwise saved within catherinetavares.com.
We may use other third party services to manage our contact forms (such as, but not limited to, Google Forms). Each third party service has their own privacy policies around data collection and any information you input will be subject to those third party policies.
Newsletters
If you have signed up to receive our newsletter(s), we use the name and email address you entered to send and manage the newsletter and get in contact with you as necessary. The email address entered is also used for you to login to your account here to view the archives, access content via RSS feeds, and/or edit your subscriptions and information.
Paid Subscribers
If you have signed up to receive our paid newsletter or paid content, in addition to name and email address, payment information (such as, but not limited to, credit card information) is processed through Stripe. Any payment information you provide is collected and processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy; it is not received nor stored by catherinetavares.com.
Cookies
This site runs on Ghost and is subject to their cookie collection policy under the Ghost Privacy Policy.
Links to Other Sites and Embedded Content
catherinetavares.com often contains links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third part link, you will be directed to that third party’s site and will subsequently be subject to that third party privacy policy during your engagement there.
catherinetavares.com might also contain embedded content (such as, but not limited to, videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content behaves the same as a link to a third party site and interactions with embedded content are subject to the third party’s privacy policy.
Children’s Policy
catherinetavares.com does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with their personal information, please contact us via the methods described in the Data Deletion section of this policy, and we will delete such information immediately.
Unsubscribe
If you wish to unsubscribe from any or all of our newsletters, you can do so at any time by navigating to your Account with catherinetavares.com and toggle on/off which newsletters you want to receive via the Manage tab or by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link included at the bottom of every newsletter email.
Please note: unsubscribing from newsletters does not delete your account with us, and you are still able to view the free tier content on the archives when logged in. Unsubscribing only removes the function of content being delivered to you via email.
Data Deletion
If you are a current or past subscriber, you can request we delete your data at any time by either contacting us directly by replying to any email sent from us to you, filling out the contact form with such a request, or navigating to your Account with catherinetavares.com and using the “Contact Support” button with the subject "Data Deletion" in the email.
Please note: for all current or past subscribers with no email subscription and no paid subscription: your membership data, and therefore your access to the archives and RSS feeds, will be deleted automatically after approximately 30 days.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be made known to you by posting the new policy to this page. Changes to this policy are in effect when they are posted to this page.
